Hundreds of television crews do live reports every day across the U.S. They broadcast using large vans equipped with telescoping transmission masts. The vans are usually equipped with warning systems to prevent truck operators from driving off with those masts still extended.
Thursday afternoon, however, truck operator Blake Arnold with CBS 58 failed to notice his mast was still extended following a live report.
