After six and a half years at WAAY-TV, Meredith Wood is leaving the Hunstville, Alabama station.
The morning anchor made the announcement on Facebook.
“It’s going to be hard to say goodbye to this place…almost 7 years is a long time! Thanks to everyone in the Tennessee Valley for years of support and kindness,” Wood said after her final show Friday morning.
Her departure comes a month after 24 year veteran Erin Dacy signed off to focus on her real estate career.
Wood did not disclose what her next career move will be. Alabama is home for her.
