Last week, TVSpy reported the unexpected death of 38-year-old former reporter Kathleen Cochran DiPiero.

An autopsy report shows DiPiero died from the complications of the flu.

According to a story on Spectrum News’ website, 36 hours after showing signs of the illness the mom of two passed away.

The most likely cause of death was pneumonia and sepsis.

DiPiero helped launch the 24 hour network in North Carolina 16 years ago.
