Leon Harris Leaving WJLA

By Kevin Eck

After 13 years at the Washington, D.C. ABC affiliate WJLA, anchor Leon Harris is leaving.

He came to WJLA in 2003 after working at CNN in Atlanta for 20 years. He plans to leave the Sinclair-owned station in October.

“We can’t thank Leon enough for his service to our station and our community,” said WJLA director of news Mitch Jacob. “He is a journalist of the highest caliber, and has been an asset in our newsroom, and he will be missed.”
