KGW anchor Laural Porter will have a new schedule after her recent return from family leave.
She announced she was taking leave in October to take care of a family member. Now back, she said she will step away from anchoring.
“I am scaling back my schedule so I can continue to help my family,” she announced on social media. “I will no longer anchor the 5 and 6pm news on a regular basis. I have loved anchoring at KGW for 24 years and I will miss you, our loyal viewers everyday, and my amazing colleagues I’ve anchored alongside @molkoreports @mattzaffino @osancheztv and our entire amazing staff.”
Porter said she will continue to anchor Straight Talk, fill-in anchor, and do occasional stories.
She started working at the Portland, Oregon NBC station in 2000.
