Former Detroit reporter Larry Spruill is joining WSB in Atlanta.
Spruill left WDIV in Detroit in December after four years there. In a Facebook post, he talked about a moment 12 years ago—after visiting his parents—where he declared he would return to work and report in his hometown.
“With that being said, after over a month of announcing my departure from Detroit, I’m beyond excited to announce my next chapter,” said Spruill. “I’M COMING HOME TO REPORT at WSB-TV ATLANTA.”

Before working at NBC’s Detroit station, Spruill was at WJAX-WFOX in Jacksonville, Fla. He’s also worked at WJCL in Savannah, Ga, and at WMAZ and then WGXA in Macon, Ga.
