Sinclair Broadcast Group’s Tulsa ABC station KTUL has named Joie Bettenhausen morning meteorologist for Good Morning Oklahoma.
“I’m very grateful for the opportunity to become the morning meteorologist at KTUL,” said Bettenhausen. “I work with the best team and I’m excited to continue working with them in a larger role. Tulsa is home and I hope to have a long career at this station.”
She began her meteorology career in Joplin, Missouri. She joined KTUL as the station’s the traffic reporter and midday meteorologist in 2022.
“Joie is a positive, energetic, and knowledgeable meteorologist,” said Dan Threlkeld KTUL’s chief meteorologist. “She knows severe weather and is an excellent forecaster. She makes the mornings more fun to watch.”
In her new role, Bettenhausen will deliver forecasts weekdays from 4:30 – 7 a.m.
