KTTV News Director Erica Hill-Rodriguez Leaving Station After 3 Years

By Kevin Eck

KTTV news director Erica Hill-Rodriguez has decided to leave the Fox owned Los Angeles station, in a move that a Fox spokesperson said was “completely amicable and her decision.”

Hill-Rodriguez told staff through email that she was leaving after three years. In the email, Hill-Rodriguez said she had planned to follow her wife’s growing career and take some time off, before taking the job at KTTV in 2019.

“Now that the world is settling into our new normal and the height of the crisis is behind us, I find myself back at the crossroads I was at in 2019,” wrote Hill-Rodriguez. “My wife’s career is taking off again and it has been feeling like the time is now to finally take that step back. So on Monday I informed Bill (Lamb) that it’s time for me to move on and explore this next chapter of my life. I do not know what the universe has in store for me, but I’m ready to find out. My last day at the station will be Friday July 1.”
