KIVI weekend anchor/MMJ Jake Garcia is leaving the Boise, Idaho ABC affiliate to work at WTIC in Hartford, Ct.
Garcia posted the news on social media saying his “time in the gem state is coming to an end.”
“I’m excited to announce I have accepted a job as a reporter in Hartford, Connecticut at Fox 61!” Garcia said on Facebook. “It’s bittersweet as I have met some amazing people along the way and have made lifelong friends here, but I’m excited for this next chapter. Don’t worry you still have a little while longer with me at Idaho News 6 my last day is February 10th.”

Garcia joined KIVI in February 2021. He started his career in Amarillo, Texas before moving to Wichita Falls, Texas.
