Massachusetts Kids Learn What It Takes to Become a News Anchor

By Stephanie Tsoflias Siegel

Students in Springfield, Mass., learned what it takes to be a news anchor when WWLP anchor Tamara Sacharczyk visited a local school and talked about the ins and outs of broadcasting.

At one point, students were given a mic and some direction on how to tell the story.

“I learned you have to wake up pretty early to be a news anchor. I don’t really know what I want to do yet in the future so things like this help us chose what we want to do,” said one student.
