Jeremy Desel, a veteran reporter at Houston’s KHOU, is not only leaving the CBS affiliate, he’s leaving the world of TV news altogether.
Desel, who’s been a reporter at the station since April 1999, has accepted a new gig, as a communications executive for NRG.
“I cannot express my excitement about this new endeavor with NRG,” Desel told mikemcguff.com. “Telling a new story in a new way will be amazing. The experiences and stories I have been blessed to tell in my 16 years at KHOU will never be forgotten.”
Yesterday, Desel said goodbye to his fans on Facebook, writing:
“Thanks everyone for everything over the years! It is a new day and I am moving on. I will miss all of the amazing things that reporting brings. But I love that I will get to spend much more time with my beautiful wife and kids! Thanks again and good luck!”
