KENS Anchor Sarah Forgany Back On-Air After Health Scare

KENS anchor Sarah Forgany is back on air after overcoming a health scare that left her in the ICU.

Forgany announced the news on social media, saying she’d “try to keep this short but as you know I’m a storyteller.” She also disclosed what happened and why she had been absent from the San Antonio CBS affiliate since early June.

“I suffered a rare sudden heart failure,” said Forgany. “It resulted in my lungs filling up with fluid and that’s why I had to be placed on a ventilator. Doctors remain baffled because I do not have history of any heart disease. I spent one month in the hospital recovering with an incredible team of doctors and nurses helping me. The most painful part was not being able to see or be with my baby for weeks.

“I’m working on getting back to my normal routine and taking it day by day,” she said. “I will be joining the wonderful morning team starting tomorrow (Wednesday) 5- 7AM. I miss everyone. I feel like it’s the first day of school, a little anxious, but I’m looking forward to starting off your mornings once again.”
