Katy Blakey is joining KXAS, the NBC owned station in Dallas-Fort Worth, as weekend morning anchor. For the past three years, Blakey has worked at KOCO, the ABC affiliate in Oklahoma City. In October 2012 she was promoted from general assignment reporter to weekend morning anchor.
Blakey replaces Lindsay Wilcox, who left KXAS last summer after having her third child. Blakey announced the news of her new gig on Facebook and Twitter last Monday.

Blakey starts her new position at KXAS on January 5.
