Little Rock, Ark., meteorologist Todd Yakoubian may be joining NBC affiliate KARK after leaving ABC affiliate KATV in August after 18 years.

The Little Rock NBC affiliate aired a prescription drug spoof about a made up condition they called meteorologistosis. Yakoubian posted a hint about the airing on social media, telling viewers when the would see the ad.

from the Arkansas Times:

The commercial was an SNL-like parody of a pharmaceutical drug ad, with voiceover narration:

“Attention Arkansas residents: Are you or a loved one suffering from meteorologistosis, a rare form of anxiety after your favorite weatherman is no longer on TV? You may be experiencing feelings of loss, sadness, confusion or abandonment, which may result in not knowing how to plan your day, difficulty understanding the 7 day forecast and lets not even talk about the weekend. But KARK has the perfect remedy: Call the number on your TV screen right now and let’s cure those weatherman blues. First 44 callers get a free Yakk.”

Yakoubian also sent out a picture of a stuffed yak on social media as a hint. Other KARK employees, like morning anchor Hilary Hunt have been doing the same.

We checked with Nexstar to see what they would say. We’ll update when we hear back.
