KARK Bus Tour Introduces New Morning Anchor to Arkansas Viewers

KARK, the Nexstar NBC affiliate in Little Rock, Ark., decided to do away with the traditional on-air introduction of a new anchor.

Instead, the station conducted a five-day bus tour so viewers could meet its new morning show anchor, Susanne Brunner.

“We packed up a crew in a RV with a goal of visiting all 36 counties in our viewing area in five days,” said KARK news director Austin Kellerman, who went along for the ride as well as the producer.

Brunner, co-host D.J. Williams and the morning show mascot Shade did 33 live shots and greeted approximately 1,000 people along the way.
