KABC Names News Director From Raleigh-Durham

Rob Elmore has been named news director for Los Angeles ABC owned station KABC.

Elmore was news director at the station group’s WTVD in Raleigh-Durham. He takes over for Cheryl Fair, who was named gm in February.

Elmore started his career at WHAM in Rochester, N.Y. Before coming to WTVD, Elmore had been promoted from assistant news director to news director at WHEC in Rochester, N.Y. He’s also worked at WSMV in Nashville, Tenn.
