Jonathan Mitchell Out at KNTV

After today, Jonathan Mitchell will no longer be the news director at NBC-owned station KNTV.

A station spokesperson told TVSpy, “Jonathan Mitchell’s last day with NBC Bay Area will be July 6. We wish him well in his future endeavors.”

According to his LinkedIn page, Mitchell has been news director at the San Francisco market station since 2010. He was the news director for KHQ and KAYU in Spokane, Washington before that and has also worked as news director at WNWO in Toledo, Ohio. In Cincinnati, Ohio, he was ep at WXIX and he worked as news manager at KDRV-KDKF in Medford, Oregon.

Stephanie Adrouny, who came over from ABC-owned KGO in July 2014 is the assistant news director. NBC hasn’t said who will replace Mitchell.
