Jerry Askin said goodbye to Orlando, Florida CBS station WKMG after six years.
“It’s been six great years for me at News 6 and I can’t thank you all enough, the amazing people across Central Florida, you at home,” Askin said Sunday in his on-air goodbye. “So many of you invited me into your homes, your churches, and allowed me to call Central Florida home as I continued to grow.”
He joined the station in March 2018. Before that, he worked at WMC in Memphis, Tennessee. On social media, he said he’d share what’s next when he can.

Emily McLeod will take over starting next Saturday as the station’s weekend morning anchor, joining meteorologist Michelle Morgan.
