Chicago Fox-owned station WFLD has announced a new addition to its news team: traffic reporter Jenny Milkowski.
Milkowski made her on-air debut today on ‘Good Morning Chicago,’ which airs weekdays from 4:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. She replaces longtime traffic reporter Sondra Solarte, who was dropped from the station in January.
Chicago media writer Robert Feder reports that Solarte was “never shown on camera after she returned from her second maternity leave over the summer because her bosses apparently deemed her not sufficiently telegenic.”
Milkowski previously worked at Total Traffic Network, where she delivered radio traffic reports for several iHeartMedia stations and was an unseen traffic voice on ‘Good Day Chicago.’
Others may know Milkowski by another name: Jenny Milk. Milkowski used that moniker for her entertainment/lifestyle videos on YouTube, like ‘Milkin’ It‘ and ‘i Milk It,’ where she answers viewers sex and relationship questions.
No word yet on whether she’ll keep working on her YouTube videos while at WFLD.
