Jatara McGee will join Pittsburgh NBC affiliate WPXI.
McGee comes from WLWT in Cincinnati, Ohio where she was a reporter and fill-in anchor.
Cincinnati media writer John Kiesewetter said McGee kept in touch with former coworkers at her hometown station WPXI where she worked in 2013 during summer break from earning her broadcast journalism degree from the University of Maryland.
McGee will be the station’s weekend morning anchor and investigative reporter starting mid-February. She was an investigative reporter and fill-in anchor at WLWT since 2021.

McGee says that working in Pittsburgh “is a dream come true… doing what I love, in a city I love, surrounded by so many people I love!” she wrote on Facebook.
