Janel Forte has joined Dallas ABC affiliate WFAA as a reporter.
Forte last worked as a national correspondent for NewsNation between 2021 and 2022.
“I stepped away from news over a year ago – I was burnt out, struggling to support my sick mom, and overall just unhappy,” she shared on social media. “I had checked off all my career goals in record time – anchor, work in a top 10 market, become a national correspondent. But what was next? I had no idea.”

She worked at KHOU between 2018 and 2021 before joining NewsNation.
