Houston NBC affiliate KPRC is expanding its Saturday morning newscast.

Morning co-anchor Cathy Hernandez (pictured right) announced the news on Facebook that the newscast will add an hour from 9 to 10 a.m.

Hernandez currently co-anchors the 6 to 7 a.m. and 8 to 9 a.m. newscasts alongside Brittany Jeffers (left) and meteorologist Khambrel Marshall (center).

Houston media blogger Mike McGuff hinted that more schedule changes could be coming soon to the station’s weekday broadcasts.

LMT Online said the new schedule expansion is just the latest change at the channel. Hernandez and Jeffers were named the new weekend morning anchors in April, following former weekend anchor Syan Rhodes‘ exit from KPRC 2 earlier this year. Also in April, Bill Barajas was also promoted from reporter to weekend evening anchor.
