Reed started her career in broadcasting when she was 14. After graduating from Missouri State University, she took a job as a reporter for KYTV in Springfield, Mo. and was later named one of the first female news directors in the country. She started at KWTV as news director in March 1995. After moving into Griffin’s corporate office working in business development, Reed was named VP of Content in 2009.

“I would like to thank the Griffin Family, Rob Krier and the executive team for the opportunity to learn so much about business and the true value of teamwork during my time at Griffin,” said Reed. “I have loved every minute of my time at Griffin and been fortunate to work with an amazing news team full of some of the most talented and dedicated people I know. These stations represent a TV Utopia – few companies provide the resources and positive culture to win like Griffin does.”

Spessard started at KWTV in 2011 and has worked as news director in Tulsa, Wichita and Columbia. Elliott started at KWTV in 2004 as an associate producer and has worked as a front line producer and managing editor.
