Justin Antoniotti has been promoted to president and GM of Hearst Television’s Plattsburgh, N.Y. NBC affiliates WPTZ-WNNE.

Antoniotti, who is news director at WTAE in Pittsburgh, replaces Kyle Grimes on Friday. Grimes has been moved to WGAL in Lancaster-Harrisburg.

“Justin has done outstanding, award winning journalism in every Hearst television newsroom we have asked him to lead,” said Hearst Television’s president Jordan Wertlieb. “His management skills and broad experience in a diverse portfolio of markets of various size and geography make him a fitting leader to help build on WPTZ/WNNE’s many accomplishments.”

Antoniotti joined WTAE in 2012 from WYFF in Greenville, S.C. He’s also worked as assistant news director for WISN in Milwaukee. His father, Steve, also worked as a news director and later general manager in the Los Angeles, Detroit, St. Louis and Oklahoma City markets.

WTAE is where Wendy Bell worked until she was fired in April for posting racially insensitive comments to her Facebook page.
