Brian Daugherty has been named general manager of Gray owned WCSC in Charleston, S.C.
He succeeds Dan Cates, who recently retired from the CBS affiliate after what Gray called a long and distinguished career. This is a promotion form within for Daugherty, who joined the station in 2022 as general sales manager.
Daugherty started his career in media over 20 years ago in Baton Rouge, La., in print and digital advertising sales. In 2014, he helped launch a digital marketing agency. Three years later, he joined Gray’s WAFB, the CBS affiliate in Baton Rouge, as a digital advertising specialist. He was promoted to local sales manager in 2019.
