Grammy award winning singer songwriter Jason Isbell showed off his deep knowledge of local TV when he responded to a tweet about a new meteorologist at WAAY in Huntsville, Ala.
Isbell retweeted the stations social media promo for new chief meteorologist Taylor Kanost‘s first day, saying he thought they should think up a slogan similar to the one used by the station when Gary Dobbs worked there.
“You guys need another slogan like ‘Gary said it would be like this’ in the 90’s,” wrote Isbell. “I suggest ‘The Weather (Taylor’s version)’
Dobbs was a local legend who worked at WAAY from 1984 until 2015. The slogan Isbell refers to was even printed on bumper stickers.
