WCMH in Columbus Names McKenna King Permanent Morning Meteorologist

By Kevin Eck

McKenna King has been named a permanent anchor for Columbus, Ohio NBC affiliate WCMH.

In an announcement, the station said that King has been filling in for meteorologist Bob Nunnally, who has been off the air for more than a year while fighting cancer.

“NBC4 has provided many updates on his progress over that time, and he has gotten better bit by bit and day by day,” said the station. “When his doctors say that he is cleared to return to work giving the weather, he will return to NBC4 newscasts.”

King joined WCMH in January 2022 after working at WFTS in Tampa. She’s also worked in Utah and Idaho.

WCMH let viewers know it hasn’t forgotten Nunnally by adding, “NBC4 is excited both for Bob’s continued progress in his fight against cancer and with McKenna becoming a regular part of the NBC4 Today family.”
