Gannett Broadcasting has named a new president and general manager for Atlanta’s NBC affiliate.
John C. Deushane, the former chief operating officer for Granite Broadcasting Corp., was named Thursday as the new top officer at WXIA-TV 11Alive and WATL-TV, the city’s MyNetwork TV affiliate.

“John is an experienced and strategic media leader who combines vision with execution. He understands and loves the local media business, and as a long-time resident of Atlanta, he’s going to hit the ground running,” Dave Lougee, president of Gannett Broadcasting, said in a news release. More…
