Annie Mae has joined Fox 5 DC (WTTG) as traffic reporter for the station’s weekday morning newscasts.
She’ll work the Fox 5 News Morning and Good Day DC, from 4-11 a.m. ET. She’ll also report from the field and appear on various station newscasts.
“FOX 5 has a new superstar! Annie revs up Washington Capitals Fans at every home game and now she will bring that unparalleled energy to FOX 5 viewers each morning on the DMV’s #1 Morning Show,” said station vice president and news director, Paul McGonagle.
Mae is currently in her second season as the In-Arena Host for the NHL’s Washington Capitals, and also serves as a social contributor for Bleacher Report: Open Ice. Prior to that, she was a Social Correspondent on the NHL’s YouTube show, “Third P3riod Live,” covering Eastern and Western Conference Finals, as well as, a Broadcast Associate for the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2021-2022 season.
“It is an absolute dream come true to become part of the amazing FOX 5 team covering the area where I grew up,” said Mae. “I cannot wait to spend mornings helping my new friends navigate the DMV.”
