Erica Edwards is joining Myrtle Beach, S.C. NBC affiliate WMBF as the primary anchor for the Noon and 4 p.m. newscasts.
“We’re excited to have Erica join our talented and award-winning newsroom. Her experience and knowledge of the Grand Strand and Pee Dee region will help solidify WMBF News as the market leader,” said WMBF news director, Matt Stanley.
Edwards’ last local TV job was with that market’s CBS affiliate WBTW from 2016 to 2017.
“Erica has spent several years building a connection with our viewers,” said general manager Scott Sanders. We’re excited to have her join the best team of journalists in the market. Adding Erica to the team solidifies our anchor lineup from sign on to sign off.”
