WDTN anchor, Katie Ussin, makes a jump to Cleveland, Ohio.

Ussin will be WEWS Channel 5’s new “Good Morning Cleveland” co-anchor, according to the station website.

“We’re excited to add Katie to our talented and unique team,” WEWS news director Jeff Harris. “She works in Ohio now and is no stranger to Cleveland, so viewers will connect with her right away.”

Ussin currently anchors multiple newscasts at the Dayton, Ohio NBC affiliate. She joined the station five years ago.

“It’s all about people,” Ussin said. “I’ve spent so much time in Cleveland covering big stories and amazing people, so I can’t wait to get started.”

She will start at the Cleveland ABC affiliate in mid-june and will co-anchor the station’s 4:30 to 7am with, Terrence Lee.

Ussin grew up in Billings, Montana and studied journalism at Arizona State University. She earned a bachelor of arts in journalism from Arizona State’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism.
