Cubs Fans Use WMAQ Live Truck to Help Celebrate World Series Win

Chicago NBC-owned station WMAQ sacrificed one of its live trucks to let delirious Cubs fans celebrate the Cubs World Series win over the Cleveland Indians last night.

Marissa Bagg of Miami’s NBC-owned WTVJ answered former WMAQ and current WNBC New York anchor Stefan Holt‘s question about the station’s live truck being used as a podium.

WMAQ tells TVSpy the van sustained a “little damage” to its windshield. But otherwise emerged “mostly unscathed” after police stepped in to control the area.
