WJW meteorologist Scott Sabol vowed he wouldn’t shave until the hometown men’s professional football team won a game.
Now, 12 weeks later, the Cleveland Fox affiliate meteorologist is still waiting. The Browns are 0-12.
“It’s admirable that Sabol has kept his promise to this point,” wrote Sports Illustrated in a story about the beard. “Unfortunately for him there is a legitimate chance the Browns go 0-16 this season.”
So far, Sabol has gone nearly 90 days without feeling the cold bite of the razor on his skin. His all time record is 74 days without a shave. In a tweet, he predicted his streak would hit 115 days if the Browns complete a winless season.
