
Ben Dobson has been named vp of news at NBC 10, Telemundo Boston, and NBC’s 24-hour regional news network necn.
Dobson joins NBC 10 from NBC-owned WVIT in Hartford-New Haven, where he has been vp of news for the last 2 years. He replaces Kenny Plotnik who helped launch the new NBC Boston on Jan. 1, 2017. Plotnik left last month.

Dobson had previously been with necn as assistant news director from 2014-2016. He’s also worked at several other New England stations, including spending 6 years as assignment editor at WHDH.
