ABC OTS Hires Ryann Grochowski Jones to Lead Data Journalism Unit

ABC Owned Television Stations has hired Ryann Grochowski Jones to lead the station group’s Data Journalism Unit.

Grochowski comes from ProPublica, the independent non-profit newsroom known for its investigative journalism. She has been the data editor at ProPublica for the past seven years. Before that, she led Investigative Newsource’s data-driven watchdog efforts and worked on print, radio, and television reports at KPBS, San Diego’s NPR affiliate.

She’ll report to KGO president and gm Tom Cibrowski, but work at WABC in New York.
