Houston Station KPRC Devotes Weeklong Series to Domestic Violence

By Kevin Eck

Houston NBC affiliate KPRC partnered with law enforcement and agencies across the local area on a weeklong series focused on stopping partner violence. The station said the goal was to provide support, resources, and solutions that can save lives.

Last week’s series called Breaking Free featured stories from the entire KPRC news team on subjects like teen dating violence, relationship red flags, dating app violence, sextortion, abuse in a same-sex relationship, and many others.

“We feel an obligation to our community to shed light on this often overlooked and dangerous problem,” said Phil Lane KPRC general manager. “This is another step in our ongoing effort to bring help and solutions to Houston.”
