As published by Drudge, Thursday’s cable news ratings are very interesting. O’Reilly stood out with 2,429,000 viewers; H&C was #2 with 1,576,000; and Greta was third with 1,364,000. Shep Smith averaged 1,316,000. Larry King had a good night of Martha coverage, with 1,265,000 viewers. The 10pm Stewart special that preempted NewsNight averaged 893,000. Paula Zahn didn’t help out with the lead-in, though: She averaged 688,000. (Anderson Cooper had 537,000.)
Nancy Grace rode the Martha Stewart wave to a big 540,000 viewer average, beating MSNBC’s Hardball (385,000), Olbermann (269,000), and Scarborough (216,000). E!’s Michael Jackson re-enactment averaged 237,000 viewers.
