CBS’ “Face the Nation with Bob Schieffer” was the the top-rated public affairs program on March 15 in both total viewers and the key A25-54 demo. “This Week with George Stephanopoulos” fell to second in the demo after winning last week. Overall, viewers were down across the board with the exception of a a slight increase for NBC’s “Meet the Press with Chuck Todd.”
Despite the win, “Face the Nation” was down -11% in total viewers and down -24% in the demo compared to the same day last year. “This Week” was down -28% in viewers and down -33% in the demo. “Meet the Press” finished up +2% in viewers and down slightly in the demo.
“Fox News Sunday” was down -14% in viewers and -24% in the demo, while combining with cable replays for 2.4 million viewers. Replays on FNC averaged a combined 1.33 million total viewers and 243K in the demo.
“Face the Nation” is based on the first half-hour only, as the full contiguous hour aired in just 57% of the country.
