CBS’ Face the Nation with John Dickerson as the top-rated Sunday public affairs program in total viewers on January 17. However, NBC’s Meet the Press with Chuck Todd finished first in the key A25-54 demo. It was Meet the Press’ best performance in the demo since Feb. 2, 2014.
Meet the Press is up +28 percent in viewers and +29 percent in the demo compared to the same week last year. MTP also had an additional 1.49 million total viewers and 405,000 in the demo with rebroadcasts on the NBC and MSNBC. ABC’s This Week with George Stephanopoulos finished third in both viewers and the demo.
Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace combined with cable replays for 3.57 million viewers. Replays on FNC averaged a combined 1.88 million total viewers and 251,000 in the demo.
Face the Nation is based on the first half-hour only, as the full contiguous hour aired in just 77.6 percent of the country.
