Robin Roberts Sat with Third State Dinner Crasher

A third White House state dinner crasher was revealed this week, when Washington party promoter Carlos Allen was discovered to have attended the event. Allen’s attorney claims Allen was invited to the dinner, though he is currently being investigated by the U.S. Secret Service for attending without an invitation.

Monday, the Secret Service released a statement saying, “At present, there is nothing to indicate that this individual went through the receiving line or had contact with the President or first lady.”

Now, Politico has come across this photo of Allen (second from the left) at a table with ABC “Good Morning America” co-anchor Robin Roberts:

Roberts sat at the same table, though it would appear there was no reason to believe Allen had attended without an invitation. An ABC News spokesperson tells TVNewser that Roberts did speak with Allen at the dinner, but that at the time there wasn’t anything remarkable about the situation.

Also in the photo are the U.S. Ambassador to Belize Vinai Thummalapally and State Bank of India CEO Om Prakash Bhatt.
