Hundreds of people gathered Friday at Washington D.C.’s Cathedral of St. Matthew for the funeral for former National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski, father of MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski.
Mika was accompanied by her brothers, Ian and Mark who all gave remarks, as well as her fiancé and co-host Joe Scarborough. Also attending, Chuck Todd, Bob Schieffer, Jonathan Capehart, and original Morning Joe ep Chris Licht, now ep of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert; also President Jimmy Carter, under whom Brzezinski served and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.
Brzezinski, 89, died May 26.
