Morning Show Ratings: Week of Sept. 5

Good Morning America keeps the lead in viewers while the Today show was No. 1 again in the younger demo for the first week of September, 2016. Today keeps a commanding 20 percent lead on GMA in the A25-54 demo, while GMA’s viewers lead on Today is less than 2 percent, with 69,000 viewers separating the two broadcasts. The overall trends continue.

Compared to the same week last year, ABC was down -11 percent in viewers and down -15 percent in the demo; NBC was down -3 percent and up +2 percent, respectively. CBS This Morning was down -2 percent in viewers and up +10 percent in the demo vs. the same week last year.

Due to the Labor Day Holiday, all three newscasts are based on four days Tuesday-Friday.

  • Total Viewers: ABC: 4.477M / NBC: 4.408M / CBS: 3.288M
  • A25-54 viewers: ABC: 1.477M / NBC: 1.764M / CBS: 1.005M
