By Chris Ariens

morningshowanchors2014All three network morning shows lost viewers in November in the target A25-54 demo compared to Nov. 2013. But for one program, it was the most-watched November in 21 years.

“CBS This Morning” was up +6% in viewers for the month, drawing its biggest audience for a CBS morning show since 1993. “CTM” was down -1% in the demo.

ABC’s “Good Morning America” won the month handily in both measurements, winning its third straight November Sweeps. “GMA” was down -3% in viewers and down -5% in the demo. NBC’s “Today” show was down -1% in viewers and down -9% in the demo. And while “Today” narrowed the total viewer gap with “GMA” by 15% vs. Nov. 2013, “GMA” widened its demo lead over “Today” in all 10 weeks of the season to-date.

For the Thanksgiving-shortened week of Nov. 24, all three shows were down or flat vs. the same week last year.
