Morning Show Ratings: Week of Nov. 12

By A.J. Katz

Something is happening at NBC in the mornings, and we’re not talking about the 9 a.m. hour (at least not yet).

The weekly ratings are in, and for the 4th consecutive week, Today was was the No. 1 morning show across-the-board, a feat it hadn’t accomplished since January. In additional to winning in total viewers, Today has now won the key demo A25-54 for 151 straight weeks, its best winning streak in the demo in over 6 years.

This past week, Today posted growth in both total viewers (+3 percent) and the key demo (+1 percent) year over year, something neither ABC nor CBS were able to accomplish.

Compared to the same week in 2017, GMA was flat in total viewers, but -5 percent among adults 25-54.

CBS This Morning remains down year-over-year. The newscast was -8 percent in total viewers and -10 percent in A25-54 viewers vs. the same week last year, which was the final week the core CTM trio of Gayle King, Norah O’Donnell and Charlie Rose were all at the table together.
