Morning Show Ratings: Week of June 3

There was a split decision in the morning show ratings race last week, with GMA averaging the largest total audience and Today finishing No. 1 among adults 25-54.

Season to date, GMA is the most-watched morning newscast in Total Viewers for the 7th straight year after finishing No. 1 for the last 6 seasons.

Today’s No. 1 finish in the A25-54 demo marks a whopping 180 consecutive weeks in first place in that category. Not only did the NBC morning show win the demo, but it was also the most-watched morning show in total viewers on Wednesday and came within just 29,000 total viewers of GMA for the week.

It also posted year-over-year growth in total audience.

Today was retitled Monday and Tuesday of last week due to special reports covering President Trump’s visit to Great Britain. ABC and CBS, on the other had, rated all five days of the week.

Versus the comparable week in 2018, ABC was -6% in total viewers, NBC was +2% in total viewers, while CBS This Morning was -5%. In the A25-54 demo, ABC was -11%, NBC -4% and CBS -7% vs. the comparable week last year.

This was the lowest-rated week for the revamped version of CBS This Morning since it launched on May 20.
