For the May sweep, 810,000 total viewers and 520,000 25-54 demo viewers separate NBC’s Today and ABC’s Good Morning America. Last May, the gap between NBC and ABC stood at 210,000 total viewers.
Today was the only broadcast morning show to gain viewers compared to last May’s sweep. (ABC was the only network able to say that last May.) Today was #1 “in homes, total viewers and all ratings categories,” NBC says. For the May sweep:
Total viewers: NBC: 5,920,000 / ABC: 5,110,000 / CBS: 2,740,000
25-54 demo: NBC: 2,910,000 / ABC: 2,390,000 / CBS: 1,150,000
