Maria Bartiromo Hosts Syndication Pilot

“CNBC television personality Maria Bartiromo may expand her portfolio,” Crains New York Business reports. “The Money Honey, as she was known in her early days of reporting from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange, shot a pilot last week for her own daytime talk show for NBC Universal Television.” It doesn’t have a title yet. It reportedly focuses on “women’s empowerment.”

The New York Post says “the prospect of a new show is also a way to lock her in at NBC, if a proposed Fox News business channel is launched and tries to poach her.” That’s an interesting line, because Last November, Bartiromo appeared to be campaigning for a Fox job when she said she would take a call from Roger Ailes any day…
