Laughs, Curses and Clinton in a Casino…

Some assorted notes from this weekend caucus/primary coverage:

• FishbowlDC has the clip of another Chris Matthews/Keith Olbermann yuk-fest during a GOP nominee speech on MSNBC. This time the target is Fred Thompson. Check out the link for the full video.

• Staying on MSNBC, apparently there was some commotion during the scramble to call Sen. John McCain the S.C. winner. As Political Director Chuck Todd is explaining the reason that Mike Huckabee still has a chance, a certain Diane Keaton-esque word can be heard in the background. Todd and Keith Olbermann laugh it off as they project McCain the victor. Video coming as it appears on YouTube…

• An emailer writes that CNN’s Dana Bash reported that McCain was watching CNN’s coverage of the South Carolina returns.

• Earlier today, FNC landed an interview with President Bill Clinton, from inside a casino. Anita Vogel secured the improptu interview with the former president, as he spoke on the subject of possible voter supression (she did not get scolded, either).

• Rep. Ron Paul supporters, who have had a, well, rocky relationship with Fox News, have found some new ammo. As the results from the Nevada caucus came in (and it became clear that Paul finished third, and then second), FNC either avoided mentioning Paul, or prefaced their reporting with how Paul had spent a lot of time and money in the state. Click continued to see the YouTube clip (which, full disclosure, looks to be edited by a Paul supporter)…
