Nine months after he took leave to address “serious personal issues,” Gregg Jarrett returned to the anchor desk this morning, filling in for Bill Hemmer alongside Lea Gabrielle on “America’s Newsroom.”
Fox News confirms it was Garrett’s first time anchoring at FNC since he took leave last year. The network says for now, Jarrett will be anchoring on a fill-in basis. Garrett’s return brought many warm messages from viewers via Twitter:
Great to see @GreggJarrett back in the saddle. Congratulations to you Gregg – job well done! @AmericaNewsroom

Last July, Jarrett entered a guilty plea on a charge of disorderly conduct, following an arrest at the Minneapolis airport.
Jarrett received treatment at an alcohol and drug rehabilitation clinic, after some viewers noticed Jarrett behaving strangely on air last January.
In November, we told you Jarrett was quietly easing back to work, anchoring segments for FoxNews.com. Earlier, Jarrett had been writing for the site.
