As it does every year, USA Today ranked last night’s Super Bowl ads and determined a BMW spot featuring former “Today” show co-anchors Bryant Gumbel and Katie Couric finished a respectable 18th out of 61 new ads. The spot revisited an infamous 1994 conversation the two had on the “Today” show set, in the early days of the internet.
